Jamison the Dog needs a home
Jamison is a loving, goofy dog with a huge personality. He adores people and wants to spend all his time with them. He walks perfectly on leash and loves car rides and outings. He also loves playing with other dogs here at the Sanctuary. Born in 2015, Jamison came to Best Friends from a shelter in Florida after Hurricane Irma. Jamison has had issues in the past with impulse control. He used to bite his leash and get mouthy with his caregivers. However, he is smart and able to calm down and focus when he has consistency in his life. Since moving into a room with another dog, he has calmed down, and his leash skills have improved dramatically. Although he still gets jumpy and a little mouthy, he has already improved a lot at Dogtown. He is currently working on perfecting the " lie down? cue and defaulting to a " down? position to help reduce the jumping and mouthing during high excitement. He is also having treatment for heartworm disease at the Sanctuary. Although Jamison would do best in an active home, he's also a cuddler who will always be excited to cuddle up with you.
